The Westie Club of the South is group of enthusiastic Westie lovers in Georgia that rescue purebred West Highland White Terriers (Westies) that are in urgent need of help. We monitor shelters and rescue organizations in Georgia for Westies needing care and shelter, and we also accept surrenders from Georgia residents who unfortunately can no longer care for their Westies. We provide necessary medical care and find them a loving, forever home they so desperately need.
We Love Being in Community with One Another
As mutual lovers of the Westie breed, we desire to be in community with others who share the same passion for the breed. Our club is a place where we share our mutual love of West Highland White Terriers and put our love into action with our volunteer rescue, foster and adoption programs. Membership with Westie Club of the South means you are directly supporting our rescue program, and it also provides access to club-only benefits. This includes participation in club-only events including our annual reunion picnic, club fundraisers such as our annual auction banquet, and access to member-only content on this website.
We're part of Westie Rescue USA and run entirely by donations and awesome volunteers. We take in Westies who've been abandoned, mistreated, or given up by their owners. Whether they're from shelters, puppy mills, or private homes we get them the medical care and training they need to find their forever homes.
